Reflection 2

As I was analyzing my data, I was disappointed to not find as much as I would have liked. I worked so hard on this project and it didn't turn out as well as I thought it would. Unfortunately, that's just a fact of life. Sometimes things go as planned and sometimes they don't. It's what we learn along the way that is really important. In my first reflection, I mentioned that there were some things I would do differently if I were to do this project again. I think that is an important lesson that I learned from doing this project.

Research is something that I will probably have to do for the rest of my life. It is important to understand how tricky it is and be okay with not finding a lot of significant results at times. This is why it is important to have things like academic journals and articles be peer reviewed. Researchers can get so caught up thinking that they have such a good idea and that can lead to fudging data. If we didn't have people peer reviewing studies, I think that there would be a lot more dishonesty in the academic world. I'm glad that I was able to learn this lesson during this project.
