About Me
My name is Dakota Elliott. I grew up in beautiful Cache Valley, located in the northeastern tip of Utah. I'm married to an amazing man, and I love skiing, hiking, making music and playing board games. I'm currently a senior at Southern Utah University and I'm majoring in Psychology with a minor in family services. I have loved studying about human behavior and the complexities of the brain while a student and I have also enjoyed getting to know my peers and professors on a more intimate level.
Mother Theresa once said "If you want to change the world, go home and love your family." Although my degree will be in psychology, I'm truly passionate about marriage and the family and Mother Theresa's words have truly become my life motto. I love studying and researching about how to strengthen intimate relationships and teaching people how to incorporate that information into their own lives. That's the main reason why I have chosen to go into marriage and family therapy and why I do research on marital relationships.
